UPCOMING EVENTS

Aug 31·      "Do you renounce Satan...?" A biblical and historic look at the spiritual forces of evil. From Genesis to Revelation, there are numerous references to the forces of evil that are at work in the world. Join Reverend Cenci beginning this Sunday morning Aug 31, at 9:15 in the Parish House annex for a six-week study on Satan and the various manifestations of evil that are described in the scriptures. We will study how these themes are presented both in the Bible and in history, paying close attention to the ways in which the church has interpreted these texts throughout the ages. We will also discuss how evil continues to play a role in the world today, and how Christians are called to combat these spiritual forces as part of our baptismal covenant.

Oct 4·  Pohick Country Fair

Dear Pohick Family,

It’s almost that time again — the 79th Annual Pohick Country Fair is coming up on Saturday, October 4, 2025, and we’re looking forward to another wonderful day of fun, fellowship, and community spirit on our beautiful church grounds.

To make it all happen, we need helping hands from our parish family. Whether you can give an hour or the whole day, your time and talents will make a real difference. This year, we especially need volunteers to help with:

·       Pumpkin and Face Painting – Bring smiles (and a little color!) to our youngest visitors.

·       Game Supervisors – Keep the fun going and cheer on our players.

·       Food Concessions – Help serve up delicious treats to our guests.

·       Golf Cart Drivers – Offer rides to those who need a little extra help getting around.

·       Set-Up and Tear-Down Teams – Help get everything ready before the fair and pack it all up afterward.

This is a great way to connect with fellow parishioners, meet new friends, and share the joy of welcoming our community to Pohick. Every role is essential — and there’s a place for everyone!

If you’re able to volunteer, please reply to this email or contact me directly at rickandkristi@comcast.net or 719-502-5697.

Thank you for helping us keep this beloved tradition going strong. We can’t wait to see you at the fair!

With gratitude and excitement,

Rick Church

Chairman, 79th Annual Pohick Country Fair

LOOKING AHEAD: Nov 6-8, the 231st Annual Convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, will be held this year at the Fredericksburg Expo and Conference Center.
