  • Golden Dove Gift Shop will be OPEN from 11:30am-12:30pm.
  • SUNDAY: “HONORING OUR HEROES” The Pohick Church Chapter of the Brotherhood of St Andrew plans to conduct a Memorial Day 2026 observance, 0930-1000 at the Bell Tower. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend to remember and honor our Veterans killed in combat or who died because of combat injuries.
  • 10 am-12 pm: For parents with children under 36 months of age who wish to attend our summer adult forums and are in need of the Nursery: please contact the office in advance so we can arrange for the nursery to be open and an attendant to be on site.
  • STARTS SUNDAY: During the summer, Children’s Bible Storytelling is offered in lieu of Children’s Chapel. Children’s Bible Storytelling is for preschoolers through 2nd  It will be held in classroom D.  Parents should drop off their children at 10:20 am.  The children will join their parents in church after the Peace.
  • NO Lectionary-based Bible study Sunday.
  • NO EYC Sunday: Memorial Day weekend.

  • BEGINNING MAY 31: Summer Children's Sunday School: For parents who wish to attend our summer adult forums, Pohick Church will be offering a summer Sunday School program for children. This will be a combined class of children ages 4-12 and will meet in Classroom A from 9:15am-10:15am on Sunday mornings. Summer Sunday school will begin on May 31stand will end on August 30th. All children are welcome to attend!
  • The Martha Guild would like to thank everyone that came out to support our Wine Tasting. It was a wonderful evening and a great time was enjoyed by all. A special thanks to Terry & Marc Abrams for opening their home for this event. The raffle winners were -- "Blind Date Book Club Basket"/ the Bogdan Family, the "Farm To Table Basket" / Marina Longmire and the "Ready for the Beach Basket"/Beth Cooke.  Congratulations to these winners. We appreciate the support that the congregation gives us, which allows us to continue our mission --- "Helping Others In Need".
  • Performers are needed for our annual EYC Coffee HouseSaturday May 30th from 5 pm to 7 pm (approximately) in the Common Room. If you play an instrument and wish to perform, or sing a song, recite poetry, read prose, do a short skit, dance, do a comedy routine, or even a magic act, please share your talent. Registration forms are available in the Parish House or please email Chris Brown at cgbrown50@gmail.com to get on the program and get additional details. All are invited, friends and family welcome, no admission but donations appreciated.
  • 2026 Honduras Mission Trip: July 25- August 1: Rev. Daniel will be leading a team of youth and adults to Concepcion Del Sur, Honduras on a medical and construction mission. We will be working with Friends of Honduras USA, a non-profit organization established for the purposes of providing advocacy for the victims of poverty and abuse in Honduras, promoting democracy, and facilitating trustworthy communication. The mission team will be providing much needed medical care for the residents of Concepcion Del Sur and assisting with the ongoing construction of a medical facility in the community. Team members will also travel to remote locations in the Honduran mountains to distribute medical supplies, food, and other necessities. No prior medical, construction, or missions experience is necessary. Register by May 31: email Rev Daniel at dcenci@pohick.org
  • The Robert and Bernice Kilmarx & Anne Powell Scholarshipis now open to graduating high school seniors of 2026. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and assist the youth of Pohick Church by providing financial assistance for our college students, encouraging the parish to continue to provide prayer and emotional support, and raising awareness of parish youth in post-secondary education. Applications are in the Parish Office and also can be obtained by emailing Rev. Ted (trenaud@pohick.org). Submit your application, essay, and two letters of reference to the church office attention to The Scholarship Committee by May 31. Awards will be given on Youth Sunday, June 7. We look forward to receiving applications! 
  • If you have a Graduating High Schooler, please notify the Church Office to ensure recognition.
  • Need for Youth Volunteers –Vacation Bible School (VBS) is July 13-17. We need some Young Adults as the classroom helpers! Please sign up at org/events/vbs/ and select “Teen Helper”, or see Susan Pehrsson, Christian Education Director.
  • Shrine Mont Parish Family Weekend Registration is now open. The dates for our Parish Family Weekend are 26 to 28 June.   For assured rooms registration is highly encouraged before or on 17 May. After that date rooms may not be available due to limited availability.
  • REGISTRATION UPDATE: Thanks to the Brotherhood of St. Andrew and the Rector’s Discretionary Account, we are able to offer discounts for the youth for Shrine Mont weekend 2026! Discounted costs: ages 3-14, $65; ages 14-20, $97.
  • SHRINE MONT RATES: Double (14 years and older) $197; Single (14 years and older): $258; Child (age 4-13 years): $135; Child 3 and younger are free. Questions: call Neil Sunderland @ 703.670.2962, or nomadicmapper@aol.com.
  • As we continue through the spring allergy and cold season, we kindly ask everyone to be mindful of our parish family's health. If you are experiencing coughing, sneezing, congestion, or other symptoms, please consider wearing a mask when attending church or joining us from home through our 10:30 a.m. livestream.   • TODAY: “HONORING OUR HEROES” The Pohick Church Chapter of the Brotherhood of St Andrew: To provide a visible sign that our congregation honors our fallen Veterans, the Brotherhood will make available enamel poppy lapel pins after Sunday services during coffee hour. A donation of $5 is suggested to support the observance and all remaining funds donated to the clergy for use in Veterans Ministry.
