Some figures at the half-year point:

General Operating Income: $222,265
General Operating Expense: $254,214
Operating Deficit: $31,950
Cemetery Net Income: $15,065
General Fund Net Deficit: $16,885

There are two primary reasons for the operating deficit. First, regular giving is running about $10,000 below our expectations, which are based on pledges and historic giving patterns. Second, the budget itself has a built-in projected deficit. The Vestry adopted this budget with the hope that parishioners would respond with additional giving to overcome the deficit. Thus far, that response has not been sufficient. The deficit to date would actually be larger were it not for the delay in hiring an Assistant Rector.

Mid-year pledge statements are being mailed. Please examine your giving record and try to keep pledges current.
