Junior Warden's Report Short report this month the Junior Warden is on Vacation! We continue to be very busy on a lot of property matters, from repairs to the Church to bringing water across the road. The insurance company has still not finished with the final paperwork to allow us to start the repairs to the church caused by the steam leaks. We are much closer to resolution, but I expect the process to take a few more weeks. The effort to bring water across the road has been reenergized. Blaise Burry and Vern Eppley are working very hard with the engineering firm, VDOT and many others to make this a reality, hopefully by early next year. We should see some ground breaking activity by this fall. This fall should be an apple butter making, fair working, crab eating, and water bringing kind of time! Keep your fingers crossed! Fall clean up day0800-1200August 10th. We need a short day to repair some things around the church grounds and the fairgrounds prior to all the fall activities. We will need to start early before the day gets too warm. I realize the brotherhood will not be able to join in until after their Saturday meeting. We need to repair the gazebo at the fairground, haul off trash, trim some trees, spread some mulch, mend the doors and paint the outside windows on the church, to name but a few tasks. Please try to come out and spend a few hours. Many hands make the work light! As always, please let me know when
you see things that need attention. The best way to contact me is usually
via email. Just drop me a note at randybrooks@cox.net.
Also let me know if you see something that looks especially good. I will
make sure the responsible volunteers get the message! Thanks to Paul Johnson
who continues to fill many voids around the Church. Randy Brooks
