Outreach During the Holidays

As the holidays approach, there are several opportunities to enjoy the Christmas season by sharing with others in the community. Each of these activities brings home the joy best associated with the Christmas season.

On Saturday morning, December 8, Breakfast with Santa will be hosted for the benefit of LCAC families - volunteers are needed to help serve. Please contact Susan Homar to participate in this event.

On Monday, December 10 the New Hope Housing Christmas Party for residents of the Kennedy Shelter and Mondloch House is scheduled. There are lots of opportunities to be a Christmas elf for this event. Sign up sheets for food contributions are located at the bottom of the stairs on the bulletin board. To assist with serving the food, set up, or cleanup, please contact Susan Homar.

Additionally, there are gift tags available to help make sure that all the residents of the shelters receive a Christmas gift. Please select a tag from the felt Christmas tree in the Common Room, and bring those UNWRAPPED gifts to Church by Sunday, December 9 so that they can be sorted prior to the party on Monday.

In the Common Room, there will also be a Christmas Tree with gift tags for children. These tags are for the LCAC children. Please select a tag and bring these UNWRAPPED gifts to Church by Saturday, December 15 at 10:00 am. The gifts will be delivered to LCAC along with the Christmas Food Baskets.

Listed below are the items needed for the Christmas Food Baskets to be provided to LCAC for their clients holiday meal. All food donations should also be brought to the Common Room by Saturday, December 15 at 10:00 am. This is a CHANGE from prior years as the food baskets will be delivered on Saturday. To assist with the delivery of the gifts and food, please contact Susan Homar at susan.homar@nciainsurance.com.
