EYC News

As the congregation has moved steadily into the busyness of fall, the EYC has been moving into high gear. October 28 was the All Hallows Eve celebration with fun, food, games, costumes, and good times. The following Sunday, the taco dinner was a wonderful event to gather all the EYC groups together, share a meal, and get to know one another better. December promises to be even busier with the first EYC fundraising event, which is Fall Cleanup, Advent wreath making, Christmas pageant, a visit to the Fairfax retirement community, and a holiday lock-in.

Mission trip news: Preparations have already begun for the 2008 Mission Trip. The trip is not restricted to EYC members, but is also open to other older youth. In 2008, the missionaries will travel to Savannah, Georgia during the week of July 13. As always, it promises to be a great time of fellowship and aid to the less fortunate. Adult chaperones will be needed, so please consider coming along on the trip. It is really not as daunting as it may sound, but is a great time of fun and getting to better know the youth. Time is running short to sign up, so please be sure to contact Mother Donna or one of the advisors to register to go on the trip. December 30 is the deadline for registration, and a $50 deposit of will be required.

Questions about the EYC or the Mission Trip should be directed to Mother Donna at revmom53@gmail.com. All the youth in the parish are invited to be part of the EYC. Feel free to come to a meeting to experience the EYC and its activities.
