stewardship

As I write this report, we are well into the Stewardship Pledge Campaign for next year. We have also committed ourselves to a new Minister of Music and the extra money this will require for the budget next year, and the continuing need to support existing programs and personnel. The Finance Committee will be meeting soon to determine the budget for next year and it would be helpful if they had a good feel for how much is going to be pledged to Pohick for next year. With this in mind, I would like to thank all of you who have already sent in a pledge. I strongly request that, if you have not yet done so, please complete and return a pledge card to the church as soon a possible. If you have misplaced the pledge packet, extra pledge cards and packets are available in the Church office and in the pew boxes on Sunday.

Yes, we are showing an increase in the total pledge but we are also showing an increase in the amount of the Cumulative Average Pledge of $29. If we can continue to show a substantial increase in the average pledge as the weeks go by we will be looking at an increase that could support our expanded budget.
