During the month of December, there are lots of opportunities to be elves for the community. Take a look at the following, and please extend some Christmas spirit to all events possible!

On December 11, gifts and Christmas Food Baskets will be collected for LCAC. Tags for children’s gifts will be on a Christmas Tree in the BACK corner of the Common Room beginning the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Please include the tags with the donated unwrapped gifts. To help with the delivery of the gifts and food baskets on Sunday, December 11, please contact Susan Homar at susan.homar@nciainsurance.com. The delivery will be after the 11:15 am service. All items will be taken to the Moose Lodge in Lorton.

On December 12, Pohick will host the annual New Hope House Christmas Party complete with a full feast, Santa, music etc. A sign up sheet will be posted on the bulletin board at the bottom of the stairs outside the Common Room for those who would like to contribute food for the feast. Gift tags for this event will be placed on the felt tree at the FRONT of the Common Room. Please bring food contributions by 5:00 pm on Monday, December 12. Gifts for this event should be brought to the Common Room by Sunday, December 11. The gifts should be unwrapped with the tag attached. On Saturday, December 17, Santa will be making another visit to Pohick for the Breakfast with Santa for the children clients of Lorton Community Action Center. Set up will begin at 9:00 am with the guests arriving at 9:30 am. This program will last until 11:30 am. To help with set-up, clean up, or serving, email Susan Homar at susan.homar@nciainsurance.com.
