Senior Warden's Report The holiday season is upon us already, can you believe it? Time is passing us by quicker than we can imagine. With the holidays here, it is always a time to reflect on our lives as Christians. We should be thankful for the numerous things our Lord has given us and celebrate this thankfulness by attending worship services. Another way to thank the Lord is to give back to Him the many things He gave us. We do this by giving our time, talent and treasures. Not all of us can afford to give 10% of our treasures, but we should strive to do that. Our time and talent can be given much more freely, however. All of these items are crucial to the success of our church family. Please thank the Lord when you do these things and be happy and willing to give them. The church needs your support more than ever now due to the downturn in the economy. Speaking from experience, it gives you a feeling of warmth and satisfaction in the "cold desert" that we sometimes experience. This will probably be my last article for the Pohick Post as your Senior Warden. I have enjoyed representing you these past three years on the Vestry as both the Junior and Senior Warden. As in any position there are smooth and rough times; but you, the people of Pohick, have been wonderful and have kept me on an even keel! Let's keep Pohick headed in a forward direction and have it be a much-needed shelter from the everyday trials we face. May God bless each and every one of you! Discussed at the November vestry meeting:
