Cooks of Pohick Church Needed!
Now is the time to dig out those casserole recipes and donate a frozen casserole for the Christmas Mart. The Martha Guild will be working together during the November meeting to make casseroles. To participate, bring a favorite recipe, the ingredients, an aluminum baking pan, foil to cover the pan and a zippered plastic bag to cover the pan. Soups or sauces should be put in a plastic container instead of a bag. A list of ingredients, baking directions, and the name of the item should be provided for each donation. Another cooking session will be held on Sunday, November 9. Come to the kitchen at 2:00 pm to prepare casseroles. Unable to attend either group session? Please make a casserole at home! So a label can be made for each item, email the dish name, ingredients, and cooking directions to cheintze@cox.net.
Christmas Mart
Art and Consignment Room
It is time for someone else to treasure an item that is currently in the attic, basement, or living room. Please look through the house and belongings that are no longer used or valued. Someone else will give the item a good home! Items can be donated to be sold at the Christmas Mart, or they can be consigned with the consignor receiving 75% of the selling price. A wide variety of treasures have been recycled and valued by the new owner. Crafters and needleworkers are encouraged to consign items. Email Edie Bartlett for instruction or to answer questions, redsse@aol.com.
