Church School is off to a great start! There are 114 students registered. It promises to be a very rewarding and exciting year working with all of the children and youth of Pohick! The Church School has 41 wonderful teachers and staff volunteers. It is truly a blessing to have such outstanding volunteers at Pohick! 

            Once again, the Godly Play curriculum will be taught to the Preschoolers through 4th graders, and the Living the Good News will be taught to the 5th through 12th grade students. If anyone would like to review the curriculum, it is available in the education office any time. The Godly Play curriculum has take home papers for the parents of the preschoolers and kindergarten classes and some of the lessons have papers for the 1st - 4th grade classes. 

            For 5th - 12th grade students who attend the 11:15 am service, but come early for Church School, please wait in the Common room until the 9:00 am service ends before going to the trailers. This allows the teachers to prepare the classrooms and not end up in a one on one situation with a student, which is against the teacher student policy. Thanks for helping with this matter.

            Jennifer and Russ Wyllie have volunteered to be the Christmas Pageant Directors again this year!  Thanks so very much! The Pageant will be held on Sunday, December 14th at 4:00 pm with rehearsal on Saturday, December 13th, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Mark the calendar now! More information on the pageant rehearsals during class times will be coming later in the month.
