October 2008 - February 2009
You are invited to attend an introduction to the highly successful Alpha course, beginning Wednesday Oct 8th in the vestry house.
It is estimated that over 11 million people worldwide have now attended an Alpha course, running in churches of all denominations, and at universities, in prisons and on military bases across the world.
The evening begins with a light supper, followed by a videotaped talk given by The Rev. Nicky Gumbel, priest at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in London, UK. The Rev. Lyn Youll Marshall will then guide a discussion where the primary rule is that ‘there are no dumb questions’!!!! This is an opportunity to explore our faith in an atmosphere that is relaxed, friendly and fun!
Lyn has been running the course at different churches for over ten years. While intended primarily for ‘enquirers’ or those who are new to the Christian faith, Alpha offers something for everyone wherever you are on your spiritual journey. Nicky Gumbel is an engaging speaker with a good dash of humor!
The course begins on Wednesday, October 8th at 6:30pm with a light supper. The videotaped talk begins at 7pm and runs for approx 45 mins. Evening ends at 9pm.
