Church School is off to a great start! There are 129 students registered. The Church School has grown by 28 students since last year. There are 43 wonderful teachers and staff volunteers. Pohick is truly blessed to have such outstanding volunteers! Everyone is looking forward to a very rewarding and exciting year working with all of the children and youth of Pohick!

Once again, the Godly Play curriculum will be used with Preschool through 4th grade, and the Living the Good News will be the curriculum for 5th through 12th grade. The curriculum is available for review any time in the education office. The Godly Play curriculum has take home papers for the preschool through second grade parents. However, the third and fourth graders are learning stories that do not have parent papers.

For students attending the 11:15 am service that wish to also attend Sunday School, please wait in the Common Room until the 9:00 am service is completed before going to the trailers. This allows the teachers to prepare the classrooms and not end up with a student in a one on one situation, which is against the teacher/student policy. Thanks for cooperating with this matter.

Once again, Jennifer and Russ Wyllie have volunteered to be the Christmas Pageant Directors! The Pageant will be held on Sunday, December 9 at 4:00 pm with rehearsal on Saturday, December 8 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. Mark the calendar now! More information on the pageant rehearsals during class times will be coming later in the month.
