That statement was from one of the 3rd grade students last year.

The Gunston Partners Program is starting its 13th year helping the Gunston Elementary children to learn. One hour a week may make a difference in their lives lasting for generations!

Not able to help an hour every week? No problem! Substitute tutors are needed to fill in when the regular tutors are unable to attend.

What skills are needed? Elementary level math, reading, writing, and the ability to work with elementary aged children.

The program runs from mid-October through mid-May. When there is no school there is no tutoring, (for example holidays, inclement weather, etc.) Many volunteers are needed. The number of students served depends on the number of individuals willing to volunteer as tutors. Pass the word on to friends or students seeking volunteer hours!

When: Tuesdays, 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm, October 17, 2006 thru May 8, 2007.
