2007 Christmas Mart

PLEASE mark calendars now! The annual Pohick Church Christmas Mart will take place on Thursday, November 15, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This event is sponsored by the Women of Pohick Church, the Ann Mason Guild, and the Martha Guild. The women have been busy for months working on crafts and planning for this wonderful event. The Parish House and the Vestry House will be turned into a lovely Christmas atmosphere and all the rooms will be filled with beautiful arts and crafts, Christmas attic treasures, consignments, and of course, delicious items to suit the taste buds from the baked goods, pantry shelf, and frozen casseroles tables. A delicious luncheon is served by lovely ladies dressed in colonial costume. There are three sittings: 11:00 am, 12:00 noon, and 1:00 pm.

There are MANY, MANY opportunities for the congregation - women and men - to participate in making this another successful Mart. There will be many announcements and requests for help now through November 15. There will be some way for everyone to volunteer! This year the Attic Treasures room will be for ONLY Christmas Attic Treasures. Therefore, as the attics and closets are cleaned for the Country Fair, save the unwanted Christmas ornaments and decorations for donation to the Christmas Mart. More information will be in upcoming issues of the Pohick Post.

Questions should be directed to the 2007 Christmas Mart Co-Chairs: Connie Myers,  Jackie Wells or Prudence Brooks.

Christmas Mart Jewelry Table

Unused jewelry now has a purpose! Please donate any jewelry no longer needed to the Christmas Mart Jewelry Table. Profits from the jewelry sales have been very substantial for the past few years, thanks to lots of donations. Any jewelry, in any condition, is useful.  Broken jewelry is bagged and sold to craft makers.

Jewelry can be left in the Church office, or given to Pat Osisek, Anne Poad, or Cammie Liddle. Questions should be directed to Cammie Liddle.
