It seems impossible that the summer is over, and another year of EYC is fast approaching. Pohick has three EYC groups which meet at the Church. The 5th/6th grade group meets on the first and third Sunday evening of each month. The Junior High (7th/8th grade) and Senior High (9th-12th grade) meet every Sunday evening. On the first Sunday of the month, there is a dinner night at 6:00 pm followed by the EYC program. For the remainder of the month, Sunday programs begin at 6:30 pm.

The annual EYC Kick-Off will be held on Sunday, September 10 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Each family will be asked to bring a food item to the picnic. The evening will be a chance to have fun, catch up with old friends after the long summer, and meet new friends. Parents are invited to attend for the evening as well. Come meet the EYC advisors and hear about the fun plans for the year. Youth should have received a flyer in the mail with all the details. Extra copies are available on the EYC bulletin board in the Common Room.

Thanks to Laurie Holly and Jackie Mullins for volunteering to spearhead the EYC Dinner Nights this year. They have made posters for the dinner nights, and parents are asked to sign up to help for one dinner night this year. If each parent signs up for one night, nobody will have to volunteer more than once. For more information on dinner nights, please seek out Laurie, Jackie, or Jen.

Plans are already underway for our 2007 EYC Mission Trip. Next summer, the destination is Hoosick Falls, New York from July 7-15. Watch for announcements and further meetings about the Mission Trip.
