GRANDMOTHER'S FARM Country Fair time has arrived. Now is the opportunity to recapture the nostalgia of visiting Grandmother’s Farm in the fall. The atmosphere of smoke wafting up from cooking fires; the pleasant aroma of spices tickling the nose; and the beautiful colors of the changing leaves can be relived at Pohick Church on September 24 and 25. All that and more is offered at Apple Butter Time, and it will be made “The Old Fashioned Way.” There will be hard work both days processing 80 bushels of apples into Pohick’s world famous Apple Butter - a best seller every year. Bring a paring knife and cutting board on Saturday, and plan to stay all day Saturday and all day Sunday. There will be plenty of work to keep everyone gainfully employed both days; and it is a great opportunity to meet other parishioners of this great Church, and a very good chance of having just plain ole fun. Every volunteer is needed and the help is indispensable. Without volunteers, it just won’t happen. Please make arrangements to come and relive a part of life that may have been forgotten.
