Pohick’s church school year will begin with registration and the annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, September 11 in the Common Room following the 9:00 am service. Parents will have the opportunity to meet the teachers as well as review the curriculum used for all of the classes. Please be sure to register each child individually as this is very helpful in preparing for the classes. For those unable to attend Church on this Sunday, please register the children Sunday, September 4 in the Education office or the first Sunday they attend church school. It is very important to have registration forms for all students!

The ice cream will be provided for the Ice Cream Social. Donations of toppings, such as sprinkles, nuts, cherries, syrups, candies, and whip cream are needed. There will be a sign up sheet at the bottom of the stairs.

The first day of classes for the church school will be Sunday, September 18. As in the past, students will leave the church during the recessional hymn and go directly to their classes. Classes will end at 11:05 am. It is requested that parents of preschoolers through fourth grade students pick up their students from their classroom.

Pohick is very blessed to have so many wonderful people who have volunteered to be teachers and staff members this year for the church school. A staff roster is posted on the bulletin boards upstairs and downstairs. Thanks to each one of the teachers and staff members for their time given to this important ministry.
