Senior Warden's Report
• Reverend Binder reported that Reverend Lyn Youll Marshall will begin as the Assistant on Sunday, August 3. The Reverend Robert Harrison will assist her at services during the Rector’s vacation later that month. A reception to thank Mother Donna for her service as the interim is planned for Sunday, July 27.
• The Treasurer’s Report showed revenue is fractionally below the expected level through June. Spending generally continues within budget. The only item of significant concern is Repairs and Maintenance; 75% of the amount budgeted for this line item has already been spent. Parishioners continue to respond generously to requests to fund special projects, such as the Iowa Mission Trip and the new sound system.
• Discussions were held on better ways to reflect Outreach spending in the Budget and other financial reports.
• Discussions continued on the draft Policy for Youth Representation on the Vestry. Don Brownlee was tasked with revising it per the Vestry discussion.
• Jim Hayes has agreed to take over as chairman of the Building Committee.
• Wayne Biggs gave a status on the repairs to the steam pipe with expenses significantly over original estimates because two pipes had to be replaced rather than just one. The Sexton and Junior Warden will meet with the company to negotiate the bill.
• The Vestry agreed to reinstitute the Parish Picnic, to be held in early June in lieu of the Volunteer Breakfast.• Heard another plea for support for the Fair Committee.
