Thanks to all who made this year’s Spring Cleanup a huge success. Projects for both inside and outside were undertaken.

A recent inspection from the Fairfax County Fire Department set the stage for inside organization of items near the Parish House steps and in the downstairs Maintenance Room. Due to great organizational efforts, these areas were not a concern during the follow-up inspection by the Fire Department. The storage room remains a major concern. An addition to the green shed will help accommodate this need. Volunteers will accomplish this task in July.

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew graciously donated funds for several Parish House improvements. The improvements include the replacement of the kitchen stove (grits cook much faster now), new choir room chairs, and replacement of privacy panels in the men’s restroom. Other monetary commitments will support sound system initiatives and Eagle Scout starter projects.

Ongoing research will provide plans for many other building and ground improvements. Parish House carpet is a major concern and most or all will be replaced, including immediate replacement of the nursery carpet. In addition, Common Room acoustical improvements are under investigation. The courtyard walkways and Church entrances demand constant upkeep and committees are exploring upgrades. These are but a few of the ongoing projects.
