In June, many 5 - 12 graders participated in Youth Sunday. The service was well attended and joyful with a wide range of ages in action. Seyi Ayorinde’s sermon was light-hearted, poignant, and a testament to his involvement in the church. Teachers, advisors, EYC parents, and graduates, including EYC members Erica Pehrsson and Andrew Whitaker, were all recognized.

In July, the Senior High Work Camp participants of 2005 will be packing their bags and making their last preparations before the Mission Trip to Sanford, Michigan. Thanks go to these participants for their consistent involvement in EYC over the past year, and for their excellent fundraising efforts that have made this trip possible. Thanks also go to their parents for bringing them to and from meetings and special events, and for having the faith to let their children go out in the world and serve the Lord. Finally, thanks to the fantastic Mission Trip chaperones, who are taking a week away from their busy lives and their families to help the youth of Pohick develop life skills and grow closer to Christ. The Mission Trip is July 9-17.
