CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Rusty Booth deserves a big thanks for all his help with this year’s Lenten program. He did a great job assisting with the preschoolers through third grade students. This season 740 Easter eggs were hidden and found! All of the hunters had a wonderful time! Thanks go to Rusty Booth, Tom Goeller, Davis Sessums, and John Sessums for doing such a tremendous job coordinating the egg hunts! It all was a great success. Volunteers are still needed for next year’s Church School. Fortunately, quite a few people have already committed themselves to this wonderful ministry! However, there are still positions open: teachers, storytellers, doorpersons, snack coordinators, and aides. Helping in the Church School is a very rewarding experience. Volunteering gives one the opportunity to grow in faith and knowledge of the Bible. It is also a way to get to know the young parishioners as well as the other volunteers. Training and support is provided for all of these positions. If interested in volunteering or finding out more about the program, please call Frances Sessums. Vacation Bible School Pohick’s annual Vacation Bible School will be held July 9 - 13 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. The curriculum being used is Gospel Light’s Sonforce Kids (Special Agents). Students will have exciting daily missions and Bible teachings which will help them become strong and courageous kids who love God and point others to Jesus. This promises to be a great week of fun and adventure! Please mark the calendar and plan on attending! There will be classes for 2½ year olds through fifth grade students. A parent or caretaker of the 2½ year olds is required to be on the grounds helping in some way. There is also a nursery available throughout the day. The 6th through 12th grade students will be teacher assistants. Many volunteers are needed! There are still openings
for: lead teachers, assistant teachers, recreation director, snack and
nursery assistants. For more information, contact Frances Sessums.
