EYC NEWS
The Jr/Sr High EYC has just returned from their annual Spring retreat. This year there was a good size group at Raven Rock Lutheran Camp in Maryland (17 junior and senior high teens). The Spring weather was fabulous, which helped contribute to a very successful retreat. The teens enjoyed Bible study, relaxing in the warm weather, and a campfire complete with delicious s’mores. Special thanks go out to advisors Karen Godley Awenowicz and Kristina Meyers as well as parent chaperone Terry Mullins for all their help and hard work at the retreat.
April will be a busy month for the EYC. Visits to the Fairfax begin on Palm Sunday. EYC will take a break from meeting on Easter Sunday. After Easter, preparation begins for one of the largest fundraising events for the EYC Mission Trip - the annual EYC Yard Sale. As in years past, donations from parishioners are very welcome. TRUTH IS – donations from the congregation are essential to the success of this event. Clean out those garages, closets, attics and help the EYC finance the Mission Trip. Donations can begin to be placed in the Common Room after church services on Sunday, April 23. The EYC is once again offering to pick up any large items that parishioners cannot bring to the church.
