What a big difference new carpet makes! The Parish House is adorned with new carpet throughout, and there are lots of people to thank for the installation. Parishioners and employees assisted in the moving of furniture and boxes, and the staff deserves lots of credit for working in an ever-changing environment. Thanks to all for making it happen.
The Property Committee met with the newly formed Renovations Committee on February 9. Members of both committees reviewed comments from the Vestry Forum on various phases of the building plan. An overwhelming consensus agrees that the Parish House needs renovations, especially the Common Room. The Renovations Committee is highly motivated to make a difference.
Other topics discussed included updates on Church handicap access, fire suppression and detection projects, and sound system installation. These undertakings demand much planning due to expense and architectural challenges.
It is going to be an exciting year around the Church property. Stay tuned for new developments as the Renovations Committee develops its strategy for a better place to worship and enjoy fellowship.
