MARTHA GUILD Glories’ Happy Hats Workshop The Martha Guild is sponsoring another “Glories’ Happy Hats Workshop” on Saturday, March 4 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Common Room Annex. During the workshop, Happy Hats will be made to be delivered to hospitals and hospices for children facing hair loss from chemotherapy, life threatening illnesses, or in pediatric intensive care units or burn centers. What are Happy Hats? Happy Hats are soft, adapted, wonderfully silly hats made from colorful material. “When you wear a Happy Hat you think happy thoughts.” Glories’ believes that the happiness created by a Happy Hat can help stimulate favorable psychological motivation for sick children to feel better. The Director of this program, Susan Khorsand, will attend to guide the group through the workshop and to share experiences from the program. There is a display in the Common Room describing the Happy Hats project. Materials will be supplied. All that is needed is helping hands to assist in putting together as many Happy Hats as possible. Therefore, everyone in the Congregation is cordially invited to come for a couple hours - this is open to all women, men and teenagers. There will be a signup sheet with the display in the Common Room. PLEASE feel free to come, even if not signed up! If there are any questions, please contact Connie Myers. The Martha Guild will NOT hold a regular meeting in March so its members can participate in the Ash Wednesday Service and the Lenten Suppers/Programs.
