28TH ANNUAL WASHINGTON BACH MARATHON
March 6 • 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church proudly presents the 28th Annual Washington Bach Marathon. Come enjoy nine fine area organists play the music of J. S. Bach on the magnificent 3-manual, 50-rank, 2500-pipe glass-encased Rieger tracker pipe organ. Each organist will begin playing on the half hour, and Vicky Shields Harding will be one of the featured performers from 6:00 pm - 6:30 pm. Also, there will be a performance of Bach's Motet III, Jesu, meine Freude, sung by the Chancel Choir. The Choir will be accompanied by a string ensemble, which will be conducted by Kenneth Lowenberg. At 7:00 pm, following the Marathon, a catered German dinner will be served for a nominal charge.
