THE ORGAN IS BACK! THE ORGAN IS BACK! HALLELUJAH!!! On Saturday, February 5, the newly renovated instrument was dedicated, followed by a recital for the organ and two trumpets. After the recital, a lovely reception hosted by the Historic Pohick Church Foundation was held in celebration of this blessed event. There have been many positive comments about how different the organ sounds. One parishioner said, "The change is like listening to an old, scratchy AM station and then putting on a FM station with stereo earphones." It is pleasing to know that the organ has been so well received. The organ is for the entire congregation, and the function of an organ in a church is for the glory of God through the music it produces. It is at the Church for worship and for concerts for the congregation and greater community. It should be enjoyed for many years to come!
