George Washington Service and Breakfast

Please save Monday, February 19 for the annual Pohick Church George Washington Service and Breakfast. The 8:00 am service will be conducted from the 1662 Morning Prayer service, which was still in use during Washington’s tenure at Pohick. Although in a departure from the 18th Century, there will be music. The service will be followed by a hot breakfast prepared by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, and served in the Common Room. A guest speaker will also be featured during the breakfast.
For those hungering for still more on Pohick and its rich history, the morning will conclude with a docent-led tour of the Church building. Tickets will be offered for $5.00 each (checks payable to Brotherhood of St. Andrew), and will be sold after Church services during coffee hours through February 18.
