Sacred Circles

For the past ten years, the Washington National Cathedral has hosted a conference to celebrate women’s spirituality. Through music, dance, poetry, and storytelling, women are invited to explore and embrace their God given spirituality. The theme this year is “What if love is the answer no matter the question?” There will be sessions on ‘Seeing Love,’ ‘Implementing Love,’ and ‘Protecting Love’ that will expand upon the theme. As the brochure describing the conference states, there will be “women artists and teachers guiding us in the communal practice of song and silence, movement and stillness.”

The conference is the weekend before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. This conference could prove to be an interesting starting point for your Lenten experience. I have brochures and will help coordinate carpooling.
