Please consider joining fellow Pohick members at the annual Shrine Mont Work Weekend on March 17-19. Last year there were eight attendees. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other Episcopalians from throughout the state and do God’s work at the same time. The weather is brisk and the work is rewarding. Not to worry, each of the houses is heated. On Friday night, dinner is held at the Bayse Ski Resort. Saturday is a work day, and Sunday, work finishes around noon. A variety of routine maintenance is performed with chores that include painting, cleaning, raking leaves, landscaping, etc. The food is even better than normally experienced during the June’s Pohick retreat. Fresh, homemade doughnuts and great Saturday night entertainment in front of a roaring fire at no cost except for labor cannot be beat.
