STEWARDSHIP

This is the second year I have worked as the Chairperson of the Stewardship Committee and as the Vestry Chair of the Stewardship Commission. It is always one of my greatest pleasures to send out the individual thank you notes to everyone who pledges. I would once again like to reiterate that thanks on behalf of Pohick Church for all of your wonderful support in helping with the continuation of the ministry of this church.

The status of the pledge drive last year:

No, I did not make an error; we really are almost exactly where we were last year. The interesting fact is that 15% of the people who pledged this year did not pledge last year. This supports the fact that even though faces frequently change at Pohick, we can look to new or different members to step in and help continue our mission. It would be nice to report that we are ahead of last year's totals, but this is not the case. Remember, however, that Stewardship has no deadline and that the Pledge drive never ends. This means that we are still willing to gratefully accept pledges from anyone who has joined recently or from anyone who has delayed pledging for any reason. If you need a pledge card, they are available in the Church office and on the Communications Table in the Common Room. You can mail them back to the Church or place them in the Offering any Sunday.
