Capital Campaign Report

The Capital Campaign Committee (“CCC”) has maintained a steady pace since its inception including establishing goals and strategies to achieve its mission. The group received a list of experienced capital campaign consultants from the diocese office. From that listing five consultants were selected to be interviewed. Members of the CCC began interviewing consultants in early December and concluded the interviews near the end of January. The initial role of the consultant is to assist the CCC in deciding whether it is practical to proceed with a Capital Campaign.

That will involve a structured inquiry from Pohick parishioners. Assuming a capital campaign is judged feasible from that feedback the CCC would decide whether to recommend to the Vestry moving forward with a capital campaign. Should it be ultimately decided to move forward, the consultant may be retained to help in structuring the campaign itself. The work being done by the CCC envisions involving the whole parish to make the campaign successful.
