Hopefully, everyone had a relaxing and safe Christmas holiday. The EYC had two fabulous Christmas celebrations in December. The Junior High EYC had dinner, and then headed to the movie theater to see “Deck the Halls.” The Senior High EYC had a party. The food was great, and as always, there was a fun and often competitive gift exchange. Special thanks to the parents and advisors who helped to make both events such a success.

January looks to be a busy month for the EYC. The month begins with dinner and EYC on January 7 for all three groups. The remaining January meeting schedule is as follows: there will be no EYC meeting on January 14, on January 21 all three groups will meet, and on January 28 only the Jr/Sr. High will meet.

Beginning in January, there will be a new opportunity for parents. Michelle Booth will be facilitating parent forums over the next five months. They are scheduled to correspond with EYC meetings on the following dates: January 21, February 25, March 18, April 15, and May 20. A variety of issues and topics will be addressed during these sessions, including communicating with teens. For more information or questions, please contact Michelle Booth at m7booth7@cox.net.

Begin marking calendars for February! The Super Bowl Bake Sale will take place during the 9:00 am coffee hour on Sunday, February 4. Proceeds from the bake sale will benefit the EYC mission trip.
