FROM THE ASSISTANT RECTOR
Did you know
That on every Wednesday Evening
At 7:30 pm
In the Church
There is a Service of
Holy Communion and Healing?
It is a quite, peaceful service-
An oasis in the middle of a busy work week.
There is no choir or music.
The homily is short and to the point-
No chance to fall asleep-
Maybe a quick power nap.
And part of this service there is unction-
Anointing with oil and laying on of hands
for healing of the sick
And at time of death.
Healing is emphasized in this service.
In the 5th chapter of the Letter of James it says,
“Are any among you sick?
They should call for the elders of the Church
And have them pray over them,
Anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord.”
Prayers are offered.
If you notice the new pew cards
There is a space for you to include a prayer request-
Something that is happening that week-
A test at school, travel, a difficult situation
That you might like to have a prayer offered.
So that is what we do
every Wednesday.
At 7:30 pm
In the Church.
Drop-ins welcomed!
