EYC NEWS Jen Crump-Strawderman, Youth Minister Hopefully, everyone had a relaxing and safe Christmas holiday. The EYC had two fabulous Christmas celebrations in December. The Junior High EYC had dinner followed by an evening of fun at the bowling alley. The Senior High EYC had a party at the Strawderman house. There was great food and, as always, a fun and often competitive gift exchange. Special thanks to the parents and advisors who helped to make both events such a success. January looks to be a busy month for the EYC. Several teens are currently working on completing the mission trip video from this past summer’s trip to Sanford, Michigan. The video will be presented during coffee hour on January 29. The EYC will also be hosting a Super Bowl Bake Sale during coffee hour the following Sunday, February 5, with proceeds benefiting the mission trip for this summer in Smithers, West Virginia. On that evening, the Binder’s will host their annual EYC Super Bowl Party. Hopefully, all three EYC groups can be together to eat, have fun, and watch the game on the big “screen." As a reminder, the EYC continues to offer their services to the parishioners in an effort to raise money for the mission trip. Please contact Jen Crump-Strawderman at 703-339-6572 or h8meats@earthlink.net for answers to any questions, or to schedule a service opportunity for the teens. Support The EYC Mission Team! The EYC Mission Team would like to offer their services in order to raise funds for the July 2006 Mission Trip to West Virginia. The Mission Team members are available for raking leaves, lawn care, babysitting, house cleaning, pet sitting and any other “chores!”
