GUILD OF THE CHRIST CHILD

Merry Christmas from the Guild of the Christ Child! It's a busy time of the year for everyone, and the Guild is just as busy.

There was much to discuss at the November meeting. Plans were made for Fun Friday, the bake sale, and a Valentine celebration. The next baptisms were not discussed, however, the next baptism date has been set for January 9, 2005 . The member responsible for candles in January will be contacted soon.

At the last meeting, Nicole Fluet led a discussion on talking to teenagers about their faith, their lives, and their friends. Reference material was provided along with the relating of actual experiences. If there is further interest in the subject, there may be a continuation at a future date. Thanks so much to Nicole!

Instead of a December meeting, it is a tradition to meet and go to dinner. This year Christmas shopping was included after dinner. Although attendance was light, hopefully, more people will be able to attend next year.

The bake sale this year was a huge success! Thanks to those that were able to provide baked goods, and thanks to all the customers that purchased them. Everything was sold before 11:30 am! New candles can now be purchase with enough left over for other expenses.

The next meeting is scheduled for January 24, and will focus on discipline with varying viewpoints. Plan to attend this informative session.

Valentines Day is just around the corner. Valentines Day will be celebrated on February 14 - perhaps at the same place as last year, the Garden Kitchen in Occoquan. If there are other suggestions, please feel free to call Jane Goeller or Gail Smith with new ideas.

The Guild of the Christ Child wishes everyone a joyous and loving
New Year.
