| September 2007 Welcome to the Pohick Post Online! Summer's over and school's back in session. That cool nip in the morning air can only mean one thing: the start of the program year is upon us at Pohick. In other words, let the roller coaster ride begin! It starts off with our annual benefit Crab Feast on Saturday, September 8, 3:30-7 pm in the picnic grounds. We return to our regular service schedule (7:45, 9, 11:15 am) the next day, with Sunday School, EYC and Choir Registration and Ice Cream Social between on the later two services, and the EYC Kick-off Picnic that evening at 5 pm. Sunday School classes for our young people start the following week (Sept. 16), with our Fall Activities Fair being set up for the adults. This month, our Rector previews the Architects' Presentation planned for the fourth Sunday of the month (Sept. 23) during the Sunday school hour. We hope everyone can be there for the unveiling of the exciting plans for our church's future. The same can be said for Apple Butter Weekend on the 28th through the 30th, and the Pohick Country Fair on October 6. We'll need all hands on deck for both weekends! In the meantime, keep our Mission Trip Team in your prayers during the second week of the month, as they will be making their third trip down to New Orleans! They're still accepting donations for supplies, if you're able to contribute to the rebuilding effort. Likewise, consider adopting one of the few items left on the Wishing Well, as it enters its last month. Read about these activities and much, much more in this month's Epost!Don't forget to send your Pohick Post Articles to Lori Buckius at raebuck@aol.com before the monthly deadline (15th). Pass on any comments or concerns about these pages in an email to Dick Heintze at heintzer@pohick.org or the Rector at dbinder@pohick.org. Monthly Columns Features of the Month
