April 2005 Welcome to the Pohick Post Online! Happy Easter to everyone! Spring is finally here, with the exploding colors of the Cherry Blossums and Spring flowers reminding us daily of the Good News of Christ's resurrection. After the rigors of Lent, the pace slows down a bit during the Easter Season, allowing us to catch our corporate breath and simply bask in the glow of the Risen Lord. Spring also allows us to venture outside again to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. In this regard, mark your calendars for our EYC Yard Sale on Saturday, April 16, and also for later in the month, when we hold our Spring Clean-up day on Saturday, April 30. The Bloodmobile will return in between on Sunday, April 24, for those who can donate for this worthy cause. In this month's E-Post, our Rector brings us up-to-date on the most recent meetings around the Anglican Communion, while our Assistant writes more about Pohick's new Community of Hope ministry. Our Jr. Warden reflects upon the care of Pohick's historic trees, while our Minister of Music highlights upcoming events, including this weekend's Sacred Harp Convention. Read about these stories, and much, much more in this month's E-Post! As always, please send your Pohick Post Articles to Lori Buckius at raebuck@aol.com before the monthly deadline (15th). Pass on any comments or concerns about these pages in an email to Dick Heintze at heintzer@pohick.org or the Rector at dbinder@pohick.org. Monthly Columns
