These are some more general organizations that report on the persecution of Christians around the world. You can be put on an email list (free) for each of them. The list is not complete—there are other organizations that focus on particular countries, churches also publicize events, and there are also reports by groups such as Amnesty—but this is enough to be going on. If you subscribe to several or all, you can receive regular updates.

The Center for Religious Freedom promotes religious freedom as a component of U.S. foreign policy by working with a worldwide network of religious freedom experts to provide defenses against religious persecution and oppression. Since its inception in 1986, the Center has sponsored investigative field missions, reported on the religious persecution of individuals and groups abroad, and undertaken advocacy on their behalf in the media, Congress, State Department and White House.

Barnabus Fund’s mission is to support Christians where they are in a minority and suffer discrimination, oppression and persecution as a consequence of their faith. Its goal is to strengthen Christian individuals, churches and their communities by providing material and spiritual support by making the needs of persecuted communities known to Christians around the world, by encouraging prayer and financial giving in support of them, working with existing local Christian organizations, and by speaking on these communities’ behalf.

Founded in 1967, VOM is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization dedicated to helping the persecuted church worldwide. Its purposes are to encourage and empower Christians by providing Bibles, literature, radio broadcasts, medical assistance, and other forms of relief aid to Christians and families of Christian martyrs, as well as informing the world of atrocities committed against Christians.

ICC is a non-denominational Christian rights watchdog dedicated to helping persecuted Christians around the world by “acting as a bridge” between them and believers in free countries. ICC provides encouragement, prayers, financial aid, news reporting, advocacy, and research to bring public awareness to the plight of persecuted Christians worldwide.

Forum 18 is a Christian web and e-mail initiative to provide original reporting and analysis on violations of the freedom of thought, conscience and belief of all people, whatever their religious affiliation, in an objective, truthful and timely manner. It mainly publishes on the former Soviet states, notably Belarus and Central Asia, but also publishes original work on states such as Serbia and Turkey. Forum 18 works for religious freedom for all on the basis of Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

ACN is a Catholic charity founded in 1947 to help the suffering and persecuted faithful around the world by reaching out to people in need in 145 countries, fulfilling more than 5,000 projects a year through spiritual and material aid programs. ACN’s programs include training of clergy, distribution of spiritual literature, transportation for pastoral workers, construction of places of worship, aiding refugees, caring for the religious, offering masses, and reaching out through Christian media.

It carries a wide range of news, and carries many reports on the persecuted church. Recommend for new on the persecuted church and also as a general news source.
