October 10: Reflection Questions for Chapters 1-3

1a. What do you think are implications of the first sentence of this book, “It’s not about
you”?

1b. In spite of all the advertising around me, how can I remind myself that life is really about
living for God, not myself?

2a. Knowing that God uniquely created me, what areas of my personality, background, and
physical appearance am I struggling to accept?

2b. God said to Jeremiah: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you
were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” (Jer 1:5). In what
ways do you feel God has consecrated you—set you apart for his purpose?

3a. What do you feel most people’s lives are driven by? What has been the driving force in
