Addiction & Grace
Lent, 2010
Pohick Episcopal Church
The Reverend Donald D. Binder, PhD
This five-week series will focus on Gerald May’s classic book, Addiction & Grace. Drawing from psychological and neurological studies, May presents a more expansive definition of addiction than is commonly assumed. From this analysis and presentation, it becomes apparent that everyone is addicted to something, often without even knowing it. May’s book explores the nature of these addictions, and how, through God’s grace, we can break the cycle of dependency.
